I'm a self-taught newbie (1-2 years in with no design degree) and have been stuck lately thinking about how to evolve as a website designer and clouded by that external opinion that you evolve with code. And while I love the cool things people can do now with code, I've noticed there's the trend now where websites look the same, the colour palettes are almost identical and I haven't been able to work out how to stand out or what the next move is when I don't really want to be building heavily coded websites.

This one's by far my favourite [Squarespace/Design Course] and I've taken so many. Like maybe 12 in total. But a lot of them bored me and they were super clinical and all about strategy but looked ugly and one was so code heavy I wanted to cry.
