Watch me Design in Squarespace — How to take a piece of inspo + work it into your website
I've had this idea for a while to create some quick and easy screen share videos of me designing various things, and I just made my first one for you! I took a piece of design inspo and showed you how I might work it into a Squarespace website.
So in this video I walk through a relatively easy process of how you might find a piece of design inspo and work that into your Squarespace site in a way that works for you.
I also figured I'd play around with Squarespace 7.1 in this tutorial, cause why not, lol. For the most part I still don't recommend it, but obviously as someone who's creating a lot of content on this platform its worth me knowing it a lot better because it most likely will be the main option for SS websites in the future. There's some good things about it, and some annoying things... lol. BUT ANYWAY, hopefully you find this video interesting and helpful!
I chose a piece of desgin that’s super simple, so there’s other videos I could make similar to this that are a bit more in-depth but I thought I’d do something easy to begin with. Obvi you want to make these designs your own, too, use your own photos and fonts and colours, to make something that’s you (not a copy). I think I actually accidentally ended up using the same font as my piece of inspo in this one, which I only realised at the end, but yeah! Let me know if you dig this kinda content. 😜
